When I was thirteen, I visited Kenya and Tanzania with my uncle, a government infrastructure supervisor, and saw firsthand how the absence of street lighting made daily life difficult for locals. Watching a global infrastructure partnership construct new streetlights on main roads showed me the profound impact of accessible design. I named this project Enlighten based on that memory, focusing on illuminating residential streets to create positive, practical change.
